Who & Why
The Basingstoke Multicultural Forum (BMF) is an umbrella organisation for communities of diverse cultures, ethnicity and religion. Our membership includes 27 Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, plus many individual members mostly from Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.
The core mandate of the group is to build bridges that bring communities together for a stronger and more cohesive Basingstoke. With a steady shift in the ethnic composition of Basingstoke population over the last two decade, therefore, the value of an organisation like BMF cannot be over-emphasised.
