WHO WE ARE?

Vithu Trust Fund is a charity organisation dedicated to improve and safeguard the lives of children in Sri Lanka and raise voice for the needy.

There are thousands of children who go through the day without a single nourishing meal. They include victims of war, which has thrown the bread-winners of these families out of work and the future of our youngsters into darkness.

Our Vision

Vithu Trust Fund is actively participating in bring a positive change in the lives of innocents who are victims of the unfortunate civil conflict. We are running many projects to contribute towards the social and economical development of post conflict Sri Lanka.

Our Mission

We run several projects to make a difference to the lives of both children and adult. The combined objective of all these projects is to contribute towards the economic sustainability of these innocent victims of the civil conflict through community participation. Each project aims to provide a progressive path for vulnerable belonging to a specific age group, and possessing different ability levels,

We have further broken down the projects into measurable units according to the target objective, and the funding required for achieving the specific objective. The categorization of projects have made it easier for our team to implement and monitor the projects based on the allocated funds and planned timeline.

Our project are categorised in to six groups.

1. Self-sustainable homes for destitute children (birth to – 16 years)
2. Enterprise and sustainable Micro Finance schemes (adults)
3. Training and Enterprise scheme for physically challenged
4. Career guidance and essential life and work skills training (10 – 20 years)
5. Training and Enterprise schemes for youth (18 – 25 years)
6. Training and Enterprise schemes for widows and socially excluded women

Vithu Trust Fund was started with the intention of enriching the lives of people belonging to different age groups. Our projects are designed to help the innocent victims of the civil conflict to build a better future for themselves, while becoming champions of good human values.
