The history of restaurants

Inaugurated in 1976,  Darshana is the first and oldest Indian restaurant in Switzerland . Located in Geneva at the foot of the Glass House built by the famous architect Le Corbusier , The Darshana attracts both tourists and regulars.

1976 ஆம் ஆண்டில் துவங்கியது, சுர்ஷானாவின் முதல் மற்றும் பழமையான இந்திய உணவகமாகும். புகழ்பெற்ற கட்டிடக்கலைஞர் லு கோர்புசியரால் கட்டப்பட்ட கண்ணாடி மாளிகையின் பாதையில் ஜெனீவாவில் அமைந்திருக்கும் தர்ஷனா சுற்றுலாப்பயணிகளையும் ஒழுங்குமுறைகளையும் கவர்கிறது.

Recently, Darshana has also established in Crans-Montana (in Valais) to share its authentic Indian cuisine with lovers of the Alps, skiing and of course golf.

Happy to make you taste the dishes of his country, Mr. Ratnam has also taken over the restaurant Le Jaipur. Located in the heart of the Junction in Geneva , Le Jaipur is the second oldest Indian restaurant in Geneva.

Our kitchen

In Darshana, two great chefs from South India offer a cuisine from North and South India. Chef Pearson Sundeep Daniel, a culinary student at the SRM Institute of Hotel Management in Chennai, first joined The Oberoi Hotel in Bangalore, a luxurious and well-known property in India. Then, when he arrived in Europe, he worked for a prestigious Indian restaurant carrying the Michelin Star. Today, he brings his great experience to “The Darshana” to offer you a magical trip to India!

In Jaipur, our Chef Kallumady Binson Joseph, from South India, offers a cuisine worthy of the name of the restaurant “The Jaipur”. Northern cuisine, somewhat revisited by its origins, Kerala.

Darshana

History of the restaurant

Recently opened in Crans-Montana (February 2014), The Darshana is decorated in an Indian style, friendly and traditional that creates a warm and friendly atmosphere among the mountains.

Located 15 minutes walk from the first ski resort and surrounded by many hotels and shops, it is in the blink of an eye that you will have the opportunity to taste a refined and rich Indian cuisine.

Our dishes and Indian specialties

Darshana offers quality Indian cuisine that blends well with spices. Tandoori, Biryani, Curry and Thali can be enjoyed alone or in groups, for all occasions. You have the choice between our dishes of the day and our succulent dishes “à la carte”.

Tandoori chicken and fluffy Naans, highly appreciated by the general public, are made in the charcoal Tandoor, our traditional clay oven from South India.
