Sri Ranganatha Temple
The Sri Ranganatha (or Lord Vishnu) Temple was inaugurated on the millennium by Guru Sri Subramanium. It is an open air, multi-faith temple that inspires a sense of wonder at the fundamental unity of Divine consciousness as it manifests through man, nature, the elements and the world’s different religions.
The main murthi of Sri Ranganatha is enshrined in the centre of a purpose built lake, surrounded by murthis of Lord Hanuman, Lord Brahma and Maha Lakshmi. There is also a beautiful murthi of Lord Shiva, sitting beneath a waterfall. Just below the Temple is a second Temple lake, dedicated to Mahishasura Mardini.
Visiting the Temple
The Temple is open from 4.30am to 10.30pm every day of the year. We hold a puja at 9:30am every morning, and perform a mahabishekam every Tuesday and Friday morning at 9:30am. It is located near the Murugan Temple, close to the main car park and reception.
- The Sri Ranganatha Temple is outdoors. Devotees sit undercover, but there is no heating and the pujas last for at least an hour, so please bring warm clothing, particularly for young children and elders.
- Photography is not permitted at any time in the Temple.
- The Temple is a sacred and highly energised place. Please grant fellow pilgrims your respect by remaining silent at all times.
- Please do not throw coins into the lake. If you wish to offer money, there is a donation box outside the temple.
