Tamilmandram Luzern has been shaping the central educational landscape for the Tamil inhabitants since 1990. With its more than 250 students, it is consider to be the largest HSK host language and cultural provider in Central Switzerland. Through its own commitment, also promotes children, adolescents and their parents in the areas of integration, communication and movement.

Tamilmandram Luzern with the vision. The association is aiming at the goal of bringing all the inhabitants with Tamil background closer to the language and culture and to nurture them. The strengthening of cultural identity is close to the heart of the association and is committed to sustainable development.
Our Mission
We teach the Tamil language and culture and promote their integration.
There is still a great need today to pass on the mother tongue “Tamil” to the offspring. Since 1990, the party-politically and denominationally neutral association has been committe to this and attaches particular importance to the promotion and preservation of cultural values and norms. For some years, integration has been one of the core tasks of the association. Through close cooperation with the Department of Elementary Education, FABIA, Integration Commissioner Luzern and Department Social & Society. The association was able to offer projects such as information events on current topics, exchange programs such as cooking and hiking and German support courses for first generations. Thus, the association promotes contacts between Tamils and Swiss to facilitate living together.
